Creating Solid Ground for a Sure Foundation
Our bodies ARE the equipment in Haiti. Even if we had the equipment, the path through the neighborhood is far too narrow to pass with it. However, the laborers are not daunted - check out the hard work to tamp and prepare the soil before laying the floor.
In this video the boys of ASL (Accolade for Saving Lives) are having a great time singing praise songs for members of their families. The gentleman playing the guitar is Patchouko, the program director.
All of these boys were living and sleeping on the streets of Les Cayes before the program began. Great progress has been made, including enrolling them all in school.
Working & Dancing
The boys at ASL provided some help, as well as some valued entertainment while dumping gravel outside of building during our first mission to Haiti in 2016.
